Do I need to replace the air filters?
Yes – large buildups from kitchen grease and dust can prevent proper air ventilation in your unit. Contact your professional refrigeration mechanic to properly clean and maintain your unit to prevent damage from occurring – that’s us!
How often should I clean the condenser coil?
We recommend cleaning them at least every six months, depending oh how much the equipment is used. Cleaning the condenser will ensure there is adequate air flow, allowing the unit to run more efficiently and reducing strain on your wallet.
Do I need to clean the ice maker?
Absolutely! It is recommended to clean the ice maker once every three months. Not cleaning it regularly can lead to bacteria and mold build-up. As a result, the equipment may produce contaminated ice, which could possibly lead to health problems.
My unit isn't maintaining its temperature - what do I do?
You should always have a temperature gauge inside your cooler/freezer to monitor the proper operating temperature. If a rise or fall in temperature happens, contact your professional refrigeration mechanic to diagnose the problem.
Why are refrigeration units costly to operate?
One of the issues that can cause cooling units to run longer and become more expensive is dirty condensers, blocked condensers and a lack of air flow. Keep cooling units well ventilated and periodically check in front of the condenser for a build up of dust, debris and grease. By keeping your condenser clean, your cooling unit will operate less frequently, more efficiently and cost less overall.

Should I have a programmable/automated thermostat?
They are not required in conjunction with your HVAC system, but help to regulate temperatures automatically. This reduces the work your system needs to do to maintain temperature levels when your building is empty and, as a result, reduces the strain on your wallet!
Does air infiltration affect my system?
The short answer is yes. The long answer is any air leakages in your residential or commercial building results in a loss of heat or cold air. Keep your windows and doors closed while running your HVAC equipment.
